Jennifer Keicher
I was
born and raised in Northern California, but always loved the beach, that’s
why UC Santa Barbara was the place for me. After college, I moved
to Los Angeles where I received my teaching credential, following in my
mother’s footsteps.
My husband,
our two dogs, and I relocated to the Bay Area to be closer to family
in the summer of 2004. While I have worked with special needs children
since 1991, I am currently in my tenth year as a teacher. I have taught
to a wide range of disabilities, and am excited to focus on the best
practices and methodologies for my current students diagnosed with Autism
Spectrum Disorder.
I knew
right away that Barron Park was the place for me, not only did Principal
Cathy ask for my class to be placed at Barron Park, the staff and students
have welcomed myself and my class and integrated us into the Barron Park
community. Vital to the success of my program are Melissa Guglielmo,
Simeon Dondero, Michelle Connan, and Lori Hammar. Together we are
the Room 15 team!
