Barron Park Supply Requests

As you have no doubt read, we continue to face serious budget reductions at the school, district, and state levels. In trying to stretch our limited dollars as far as possible, we are asking families to bring in school supplies.

5th Grade Supply Request
The 5th grade teachers would appreciate it if your child would bring the following materials/supplies to class to share. Please bring them the first week of school. Please do not write your child’s name on any of these items.

  1. Colored pencils (box of 16 or 24 , Crayola or other brand that is soft)
  2. #2 pencils (box of 12) Dixon Ticonderoga
  3. 3-ring binder (1-1/2 inch wide only) for daily use
  4. Binder dividers (1 package)
  5. Two Sharpies—ULTRA FINE point black markers (ULTRA FINE only, please)
  6. Kleenex (1 box)

If you are able to support the class as a whole, another way to help is by donating money toward the purchase of any of the following special items for your child’s 5th grade class. The entire 5th grade does a large writing project each year that requires each child to use a disposable camera. Usually, the teachers buy cameras for the children who don’t have one. We would so appreciate your donations!

  • Kodak or Fuji Disposable Cameras with Flash (24 per class)

4th Grade Supply Request
The 4th grade teachers would appreciate it if your child would bring the following materials/supplies to class to share. Please bring them the first week of school. Please do not write your child’s name on any of these items.

  1. Four large glue sticks (Glue Stick brand preferred)
  2. One set of Crayola Markers (set of 8 Classic colors)
  3. Two boxes of 12 #2 pencils (box of 12 #2 pencils)
  4. Four boxes of tissue (Kleenex or any other brand)
  5. One box (12 count) Crayola colored pencils
  6. 1 marble composition notebook (100 sheets wide ruled 7 ½ x 9 ¾ inches)
  7. One 12 inch ruler (cm and inches)
  8. Two magic rub erasers (white)

If you are able to support the class as a whole, another way to help is by donating money toward the purchase of any of the following special items for your child’s class:

  • Scholastic News Edition 4 ($3.95 per student; $94.80 per 4th grade class)
  • Dry erase markers (blue and black)

3rd Grade Supply Request
The 3rd grade teachers would appreciate it if your child would bring the following materials/supplies to class to share. Please bring them the first week of school. Please do not write your child’s name on any of these items.

  1. One box of tissue (Kleenex or any other brand)
  2. One box (24 count) Crayola crayons
  3. One box (10 or 12 count) Crayola Classic markers (large size)
  4. One box (10 or 12 count) Crayola Classic markers (thin size)
  5. Four large glue sticks 1.27 ounce (not liquid)
  6. One package #2 pencils (sharpened if possible, no mechanical pencils, please)
  7. Two composition notebooks (Marble brand is good, they have hard covers)
  8. Two notebooks wide ruled (1 subject, 70 sheets)
  9. One package wide ruled binder paper
  10. Two one-inch 3-ring binders (white with clear pocket cover)
  11. One 2-pocket folder (solid color) for homework
  12. Two highlighters

2nd Grade Supply Request
The 2nd grade teachers would appreciate it if your child would bring the following materials/supplies to class to share. Please bring them the first week of school. Please do not write your child’s name on any of these items.

  1. Two boxes of tissue (Kleenex or any other brand)
  2. One box plastic bags (snack, sandwich, or quart size)
  3. One large glue stick (Prang or UHU brand preferred, no small ones)
  4. 1 package #2 pencils (12 pencils) Dixon Ticonderoga
  5. One large eraser (Magic Rub preferred)
  6. One box Crayola classic or Bold markers
  7. One pack of lined Post-its (3x3 or 3x5)
  8. One Mead composition hardcover notebooks (black and white cover, wide rule, 100 sheets/200 pages)

If you are able to support the class as a whole, another way to help is by purchasing or donating money toward the purchase of any of the following special items for your child’s class:

  • Packages of colored card stock (8.5 x 11 inches)
  • Spell It Write spelling curriculum
  • Class set of Scholastic Weekly News
  • Weekly bottles of water for students

1st Grade Supply Request
The 1st grade teachers would appreciate it if your child would bring the following materials/supplies to class to share. Please bring them the first week of school. Please do not write your child’s name on any of these items.

  1. One box of tissue (Kleenex or any other brand)
  2. One box Crayola crayons
  3. One box Crayola markers
  4. Sixlarge glue sticks 1.27 oz. (not liquid, NO small glue sticks—thanks!)
  5. Two packages #2 pencils (12 each) Dixon Ticonderoga
  6. Two large pink erasers (not pencil-top erasers)

If you are able to support the class as a whole, another way to help is by donating money toward the purchase of any of the following special items for your child’s class:

  • Cylinder shaped containers (oatmeal containers work well)
  • One package white index cards (large and small)
  • One package colored index cards
  • Paper bags (lunch size)
  • Sponges
  • 35mm film
  • Clothes pins
  • Magnatic tape

Kindergarten Supply Request
The Kindergarten teachers will send home supply lists the first week of school.

Special Day Class Supply Request
The Special Day Class teachers would appreciate it if your child would bring the following materials/supplies to class to share. Please bring them the first week of school. Please do not write your child’s name on any of these items.

  1. Six boxes of tissue (Kleenex or any other brand)
  2. Ten large glue sticks (not liquid)
  3. One box (8 count) Crayola Classic markers
  4. Two bottles liquid hand sanitizer (such as Purell or Dial)
  5. Photo paper (white, 1 package)
  6. Two packs 3 x 5 cards
  7. Three boxes or bags baby wipes (160 count)
  8. Three boxes of disinfecting wipes
  9. Two boxes of flushable wipes
  10. Velcro, sticky back 15 foot rolls (white)

If you are able to support the class as a whole, another way to help is by purchasing or donating money toward the purchase of any of the following special items for your child’s class:

  • Edibles (whatever your child can eat)
  • Games/toys
  • Cooking ingredients
  • Paper or plastic plates and bowls
  • Plastic utensils
  • White card stock
  • Colored paper for the copier
  • Clear packing tape
  • Dry erase markers and erasers
  • Ziplock bags of all sizes
  • Digital timers

Schoolwide Supply Request
Can you donate any of these supplies? These are items we use in greater bulk, and so will be shared across classrooms and grade levels, and also used by specialists in their work with children.
