Barron Park PTA

Each year, the Barron Park PTA works to provide opportunities and activities that will benefit the students and their families. We offer social events open to all families, scholarships for class field trips, and classroom supplies for the teachers. The PTA buys library books and noon art and noon science supplies. From potlucks to Stories for a Starry Night, the PTA does it all!

Look over this year’s proposed budget pdf and school calendar to learn about all the programs your PTA supports.

Please join the PTA and volunteer for a few hours. Donations of both time and money are equally important to the success of all students at Barron Park. Every PTA function, from the ice skating party to the Juana Run, needs volunteers. We appreciate all families who can give a few hours to help with school activities. Children feel so special when they see their parents helping at school. Please give a bit of your time.

The PTA also needs financial support. Currently this can be done through
our eScrip and Schoolpop programs, gift wrap sales, the Juana Run and other fundraisers such as Family Restaurant Nights. Since the PTA’s Direct Appeal to support Instructional Aides has been turned over to Partners in Education (PiE) from this year on, we strongly encourage everyone to donate to the PiE campaign. Our children deserve the extra attention that classroom aides provide and our teachers deserve this professional support. Please visit the Partners in Education website for further information or email Karen Gibson with any questions you may have. This graphic helps clarify the School Funding Puzzle pdf.

If you can’t give money, remember that your donation of time to our school is the most valuable donation you can give to your child. Thank you for supporting the Barron Park PTA.

PTA Meetings

PTA meetings are open for anyone to attend and usually take place the second Tuesday of each month from 7:00–9:00 PM in the MP Room.
