The Barron Park PTA -- Who We Are and What We Do
The PTA is a collaboration between the parents, teachers, and staff. We strive to welcome all new parents to our school, and make them feel comfortable, and give them an avenue to ask questions and get familiar. We plan school events, community building opportunities, and fundraisers. With the funds we raise, we provide teachers and staff with grants, and classroom and school-wide support.
The PTA serves as a bridge between parents, teachers, staff, students and the school as a whole. Providing structure to the parent-teacher relationship, raising money, and building a stronger community are some of our main goals. We work behind the scenes to help fund student programs and pay for teachers and staff grants. Research as shown that parent involvement and volunteering at the school builds a much stronger community and connection for the students as well, not just the parents
