October 16, 2006: USA Map
We were thrilled to arrive on Monday to find that a map
of the USA had been painted next to Room 19 during the Fall Work Day.
October 19, 2006: Student Council Office Elections
The whole school voted for the officers of Barron Park’s Student
Council. Enthusiasm was high; 86% of students and staff voted in the election!

27, 2006: New Trees
On Friday 27th three new trees appeared in giant
pots. On Monday 30th they were happily
growing next to the new sandbox.

Halloween Celebration
We celebrated Halloween by dressing up in costume and parading around the
playground. Our new Student Council Officers (Co-Presidents Cassandra and
Julian, Vice President Josh, Historian Rachel, Co-Recorders Brian and Zoe)
organized the parade and announced the classes. This year the Barron Park
staff dressed as Science
Superheroes.

February 6, 2007: 100th Day of School
There were many activities centered around the number 100 today. We collected
$154.28 to donate to the Library to buy new books.
February 10, 2007: 11th Annual Juana Run

March 2, 2007: Read Across America and Pajama Day
We celebrated Read Across America Day by reading to ourselves and each
other while lounging comfortably in our pajamas.
March 15, 2007: Back in Time Day
Many adults and children wore clothing of another era.
April 12, 2007: Crazy Hat and Hair Day
There were lots of crazy hats and silly hairstyles at Barron Park today!
May 18, 2007: Beach Day
We celebrated the end of STAR testing by wearing our beach clothes,
picnicking on the lawn, playing with beach balls, and eating popsicles.
