Staff Signs

Halloween October 31, 2003: Halloween Celebration
We celebrated Halloween by dressing up in costume and parading around the playground. Our new Student Council Officers (President Sam, Vice President Kiana, Co-Recorders Madeline and Ramsey, and Historian Meagan) organized the parade and announced the classes. This year the Barron Park staff decided to be traffic signs.

November 3-7, 2003Bee Day
This year’s Book Fair was a huge success. Thanks to our wonderful parent organizers and our supportive Barron Park families, we raised money for our school and added to our classroom libraries.

November 26, 2003—Bee Day
Our first Spirit Day of the Year was Bee Day. There were Bees on Yard Duty, Bees in the Staff Room, and Bees on Feet.

December 18, 2003—Pocket Day
There were 1,483 pockets at Barron Park on Pocket Day! The most pockets in a single room was 246 and the most pockets on a single person was 23.

January 15, 2004—Crazy Hair or Hat Day
Barron Park School was full of students and adults showing their school spirit by appearing in a crazy hat or with crazy hair!

DarJanuary 17, 2004—Dar Williams Benefit Concert
Our thanks to Dar Williams for the wonderful concert to raise money for Barron Park School.

February 28, 2004—8th Annual Juana Run
Check out the Kids Results and the 8 K and 1-mile Results.

March 2, 2004—Read Across America & Pajama Day
The whole school had a great time reading for most of the day comfortably in our pajamas! The Book Exchange was the best ever thanks to all the generous donations from our Barron Park families and friends.

Heart

March 9, 2004—Jump Rope for Heart
The whole school enjoyed our annual Jump Rope for Heart event during Constellation Groups. We collected $240 and donated it to the American Heart Association to help fight heart disease.

March 26, 2004—Talent Show
The Student Council organized a Talent Show and we all enjoyed being entertained by our talented Barron Park Students.

April 22, 2004—Backwards Day
The whole school had a wonderful time doing everything sdrawkcab!

May 10, 2004—Beach Day
As usual, it was a bit cold and windy at the “beach,” but we had a great time celebrating the end of STAR testing by playing with beach balls and eating popsicles.
